Farm Tots

Farm Tots learn about soil as they dig in the worm bin.
June 11-Oct. 30 Wednesdays, Thursdays & Fridays, 10:30-11:30 a.m. $6/child (age 5 and under); adult free with paid child
This week's theme: Birds & Binoculars
Kids everywhere are looking forward to the return of our popular Farm Tots program! And no wonder. Each Farm Tots adventure includes a wagon ride, art or nature activity, and a chance to pick a child-sized portion of one of our seasonal U-pick crops. Every week is a new theme--bugs, flowers, seeds, worms, bees, herbs, etc. You'll want to come again and again!
Class meets rain or shine and costs just $6 per child per class. Open to children ages 5 and under with a parent or guardian. No reservations necessary. Check in at the farm stand at 10:15 a.m.
Be sure to ask about our Frequent Farmer punch card. Good for 6 visits for one child, it costs just $33 (a savings of $3). And it saves you time, too. Just have the teacher punch your card--no need to wait in line to pay. Plus, receive a coupon good for 10 percent off one purchase of fruit or vegetables in the farm stand. Buy your Frequent Farmer punch card at the farm stand.

Farm Kids
New this year!
June 26-Aug. 28 Thursdays 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. $6/child (grades 1-6); adults are welcome with a paid child, but are welcome to participate in other activities on the farm
Brand new this year at The South 47 Farm-–the Farm Kids program. Do you have a former Farm Tot who is ready something more? Or an elementary school aged kid who wants to come to the farm too? This year, on Thursdays, at the same time as Farm Tots, there will be a special adventure for bigger kids. Children still get to go on the hay ride, pick their produce, and learn about the farm, but with more hands on, more time to ask questions and a chance to explore the weekly themes--birds, flowers, seeds, bugs and crops--in a whole new way!
This is a walking, exploring class, so dress for the weather-–appropriate shoes, hats, clothing, and sunscreen for rain or sun, mud or dust as the day brings. Classes will meet rain or shine and costs $6 per child. Children who are ready for the adventure without an adult may participate on their own, as long as a parent or guardian is at the farm. Check in at the farm stand by 10:15 a.m., and meet with the Farm Kids group by 10:30 a.m.
Farm Kids can be Frequent Farmers too! Ask about our Frequent Farmer punch card. These are good for 6 visits for a single child, and cost just $33 (a $3 savings). Frequent Farmers check in directly with the Farm Kids leader – no need to go to the farm stand. Plus you get a coupon for 10% off a single produce purchase at the farm stand. You can buy your Frequent Farmer punch card at the farm stand any time it is open.
